First and foremost, we need financial help to fund this program! We have started a broad based community effort to do this. It is through our 20/20 campaign. We are seeking $20 from 20,000 people.
Secondly, we need people to help advocate for policy changes involving the environment, health and education funding. Significant environmental changes would greatly reduce respiratory problems.
Third, we need to reduce inequities involving health care. A mobile asthma clinic can improve access to asthma care, follow up care, case management, education and reduce cost to the community.
Lastly, we welcome asthma medical professional who can volunteer a few hours each month to work on the Breathmobile®.
Coupled with the effective asthma management treatment program and education of the Breathmobile®, we can significantly lower asthma disparities in children and families most in need!
The Breathmobile® is a project of thePrescott-Joseph Center for Community Enhancement, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Oakland, CA.
